In 2016, Vision 2030 was launched to position the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the heart of the Arab and Islamic worlds a global hub connecting three continents, an epicenter of trade and the gateway to the world. And since SMEs play an important economic role an ambitious goal to increase their GDP contribution from 20% to 35% was set. and to raise the Saudi economy’s global ranking from 19th to 15th. Thus, the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority, Monsha’at, was established with a role spanning 16 functions. Our vision is to transform the SME sector into an essential driver of the Kingdom’s economic development contributing significantly to the achievement of Vision 2030 and to support SMEs growth and competitiveness by building a supportive ecosystem and an entrepreneurial society through driving cooperation with our strategic partners in public, private, and nonprofit sectors locally and internationally. Monsha’at aspires to create a supporting ecosystem, promising SMEs, and entrepreneurial society.
